Main Weyr Bowl: Here, 4 Queens could stretch out their wings comfortably. This is where all the main activity is. It also holds the biggest pool of water.
Secondary Weyr Bowl: Here is where things like flying lessons and such are taught to new weyrlings. It also holds the entrances to the hatching grounds.
Western Tail: This is the area of the canyon that starts at the narrowing of the Main Weyr Bowl. This is the section that holds the beast cave and the cave where the captured 'sports are pitted in fights.
Eastern Tail: This section starts at the narrowest part after the Secondary Weyr Bowl. Here is where you can find the largest underground cool water pool.
Hatching Grounds: Unlike the cool water that feeds the river running through the canyon, the water in this cavern is quite hot. It's not to the point of boiling because of the coolness of being underground, so it makes for a nice relaxing bath. The water is warm enough that it keeps the sands in the cave piping hot, making for a perfect hatching grounds.
Beast Caves: With the sun beating down on the daily, the herd animals would stand no chance outside all day. Grains and such that come from gracious Holds fill one portion of the caves because of the scare plantlife. Only during the night are the beasts allowed to roam and graze in the Western tail.
Weyrleaders' Weyr: Situated directly above the entrance to the Kitchens. It is made up of three connecting caves; one large one that serves as a shared room between both Leaders and their dragons, one smaller one that serves any purpose from a guest chamber for a visiting Queen to a spare in the case of a quarrel between the two, and a meeting chamber in the middle with a large table. Steps run from the left side of the kitcen's entrance up to the weyr. Both larger weyr and smaller weyr have seperate ledges for dragons to land.
Other Weyrs: There are caves pocketing the length of the canyon, but the vast majority seem to be located on the southern wall where the Star Stones sit.
Lower Caverns: This is where the non-riders live, where the Flight rooms are, and is pretty much the entire Weyr's closet with many different storage rooms. These caves extend up a few levels.

The canyon doesn't have straight cut sides. There are many places where the walls level off into ledges, many of which feed into caves but some that are the perfect size for sunning. Also, the canyon foor is a tiny bit sloped.
