S'aa knew it was coming. Ixionth had been too grumpy today, wound up and agitated at every single thing. Even now as she slept in the sun he could see her muscles twitching under the smooth mossy hide, tail lashing. So he stayed nearby, watching her from inside his weyr. He wasn't going to be surprised this time-
Ixionth roared to life, crimson eyes snapping upwards. The lithe body uncoiled, wings unfurled as she cried out her challenge. Where were her suitors? She didn't wait for them, but shot in to the sky, winging over the canyon of Crevice. Talons swatted at an invisible adversary, even as she looked back to see Icnith and Tahth rise towards her. She snarled, twisting to fly higher, even as S'aa hissed below, shoving Z'rik back down the stairs as the rider tried to come in to his weyr.

Poith roared a challenge to the blues already in the air, rising quickly after them to swipe talons at their back and necks. He was going to catch this Green or crash trying. T'zan was soon caught up in the emotions of Flight, stumbling up the stairs and narrowly missing Z'rik as the younger rider was shoved backwards.

Asoranth lept to the sky as the suitors gave chase. But he did not burst above the canyon wall to persue the lovely Ixionth. T'ort held tight to the straps on his back as the orangy-brown rose to their weyr. The rider dismounted quickly, but Asoranth still did not give chase. T'ort reappeared moments later, strapping a pair of bags onto either side of the harness.
It was sometime unbelievable just how quickly word of anything traveled through the Weyr. During a quiet meal, the brownrider had heard gossip involving both S'aa and T'zan. Whatever that gossip had been and whatever T'ort had decided after hearing it, there was obviously enough emotion in that decision to keep the love-struck brown out of Ixionth's Flight.
Asoranth's eyes whirled the colors of worry as T'ort remounted. Both pair of eyes gave one look towards Ixionth's flight path before they rose to disappear between.

Ixionth glanced back with a displeased hiss, which only grew in volume when she spotted Asoranth- disappearing.
She snarled, turning back in a flurry of motion. She tangled with Icnith, and the inexperienced blue gave a trilling note. Had he won so soon?
...Hardly. His cry turned in to a screech as talons ripped at his stomach, the green's teeth snapping around a foreleg. He struggled to get away as he was mauled, and finally released. They had lost height with Ixionth's attack, and now she released him, letting him flutter down and crash-land in to the weyrlake. Ichor-streaked, she hovered, before zipping close to the ground, close enough that people dove for cover, less they get skimmed by the green's talons.

Xyloth dodged the falling Icnith as he joined the chase. He had left Z'ite with the other contenders and sped after Ixionth. The blue had already been in the life-or-death battle of Ixionth's Flights once, so he kept his gaurd up. He really didn't think any female was worth loosing your life or limbs over. He flew hard after her, not wanting to get left behind.

Red swore under his breath as he moved to check on Icnith, hoping the blue wasn't too badly injuried. Poith meanwhile snorted at the younger dragon's misfortune. That's what he got for even trying to Catch Ixionth. He flew after Ixionth, but put a large distance in between them, having flown in enough of the green's Flights to know better than to get too close. As Xyloth joined in, Poith dove at the other, kicking at his back with hind talons before winging away.
Down on the ground, S'get watched Ixionth attack one of her suitors, giving a low whistle. He'd never seen such a bloody Green Flight and was grateful that he couldn't get involved in such a thing. Or so he thought. Eyes widened in shock as Iorth gave a cry, Rising into the air. Oh shards... His dragon was already a weak flyer thanks to her healing wing and Ixionth already had youth on her side. This was not good. Magusth gave a bellow as well, Rising after the green, ignoring Ixionth.

Icnith whined, dragging himself out of the waters. Thankfully, though numerous, Ixionth's blows to his stomach were not deep, though she probably at least fractured the bone in his foreleg, if it was not broken completely.
But Ixionth had already forgotten the Blue, having seen another Green in /her/ skies. She circled around, lashing out as Poith's head with a hind leg as she swept towards Iorth with a snarl. She didn't slow herself as she came closer, but instead barreled in to the other Green.

Xyloth snarled at Poith but pulled away instead of lashing back. He didn't know exactly what could be so great about this particular green that would cause so much bloodloss to be acceptable. Maybe he was just the only reasonable one in the skies. Nevertheless, he pushed on. Couldn't figure out what was so great about her if he didn't try.
But when Iorth came into the skies, he just about decided to change the object of his current desire. That is, until Ixionth tried to knock her out of the skies. By the shell, this was almost too much for the laid-back blue.

[Mine wants to look at your stomach.] Soykoth told Icnith as Red grew closer to the injuried blue. The weyrling grimanced at the multiple wounds, ordering Soykoth to send a message to Silasi. [Mine says it's one of Ixionth's Flights and you're needed at the weyrlake.]
Poith managed to wing back and only recieve a shallow cut instead of a serious one, growling at Iorth as Ixionth got mad at the other green. Iorth shrieked angrily as she was attacked, swiping back at Ixionth even as the younger green knocked her backwards. Magusth snarled at Ixionth, rising to block Iorth from further attack and Poith ehcoed his snarl, flying forward to hover level with Ixionth but out of strike range. How dare the brown threaten his beautiful Ixi?

Icnith whimpered, now-white head turning to look at Red. He would /never/ fly after that Green again..! He looked up as Silasi came, before turning his attention to Soykoth. [If you maul your suitors, I'll rethink flying after you next time you rise..]
Too bad Ixionth wasn't threatened by Magusth; she didn't hesitate to charge him, leap-frogging the brown's back until she was faced with Iorth again. She let out a snarl, ichor-stained muzzle snapping at the other's neck. She wanted this green out of her skies!

Ylonth’s desire for Ixionth had waned sharply after she had attacked one of her suitors, that kind of violent unpredictability was not something he cared for in his Greens, so the second Green that Rose into the skies was doubly welcome, with a quick turn Ylonth turned himself about to chase the other Green. However alarm began to overtake desire a little as Ixionth also headed for the second Green.
His bulkiness made him a little slower than some of the other Blues, thus he was a little late to the standoff. Now more confused and upset than ardent Ylonth let loose a cry of frustration, and barrelled into the Greens, attempting to separate them so he could chase like he wanted to.

[I'll only maul soemone if they catch me too early.] Soykoth commented, moving over to nudge the blue's shoulder lightly. Red glanced to Silasi, breathing a sigh of relief before he ran to S'get's side as the greenrider cried out in pain. In the sky, Iorth dodged, Ixionth's teeth instead sinking into her shoulder. The older green kicked out at her enemy before backwinging into Magusth, unwilling to fight anymore. The brown hissed at Ixionth even as he twined with his green. S'get looked around, soon spotting S'ann and Red herded the two into a flight room, frowning.
Poith hovered, waiting for Ixionth to resume her Flight so he could once again Chase, eager to catch her.

Ixionth backwinged as she saw the other's kick, the wound seeming to fuel her rage. The Green snarled back at Magusth, but as she deemed that Iorth was no longer a threat, she locked back on to her suitors as Ylonth moved against her, noting with bubbling anger that more had risen up after her, irrestably drawn. She snarled at Rogarth as the Bronze flew too close, and lashed out as Serath tried the same, catching him along the tail. She slashed along his side, happy to maul him, but had to abandon the quest when she felt the air stir as Quazarth moved above her. She hissed, rocketing to the left, flying higher to follow along the canyon wall.

Poith growled at the other males, but for once didn't attempt to attack them. Instead he shot after Ixionth, keeping a safe distance away but at the same time still close enough that he could Catch her when the time came. He was just more determined to win now because of her anger, T'zan mimicing him as he crooned softly to his mossy beauty.

Well, Xyloth had had enough. Like Ylonth, he desired a more...docile green. Blood thirsty females could be left to the bronzes and the foolish. He perched back on his weyrledge. But him and Z'ite still feeling the Flight, but it could be shaken off.
Z'ite's own desires quickly faded as he realized that Asoranth wasn't in the chase. Asoranth and His are no longer at Crevice, was Xyloth's helpful input. Z'ite stood at the edge of his weyr for a long moment. "Well where the shards did he go, then?"

Though Poith believed himself far enough away, Ixionth was not as forgiving. She abruptly stopped, tucking her wings in to drop back, lashing out at the Blue with a venemous hiss, before she sped up, dodging along the canyon. She was still rather low and, although she was starting to tire, she seemed to be in no mind to let any of the males behind her Catch her, even going as far as to squeeze herself in a narrow gap between canyon spires in to a tunnelous cavern. Rogarth and Serath hovered, Quazarth even trying to move in to the cavern himself, only to barely backwing backwards in time for Ixionth's jaws to miss his head. Obviously confused, the males continued to hover. Was this flight over?
Well. Apparently not. As some of them decided that perhaps they should drop back to the weyrbowl, Ixionth zipped amongst them, planting herself on Serath's back and snapping awa at one wing. The Brown squealed, and Rogarth made the mistake to croon towards Ixionth, attracting the female's attention as the bronze knocked in to her, trying to twine around the smaller dragon. Ixionth protested this treatment, snapping at the neck that tryed to twine with her's, talons scrabbling at the male's hide.

Poith hissed in pain as claws grazed his stomach but he soon dropped after Ixionth, hanging back as she hid in the cavern. However, as Rogarth tried to twine with Ixionth against her will, the blue snarled, again dropping to claw down the bronze's back with talons on all four legs. He snapped at the larger male's wing bases, darting away before he could retaliate.

Rogarth's ambitions faded at the double-team, and though victory was close, it was not willing. He unraveled from Ixionth, allowing the Green to rocket away as the Bronze flew back towards his weyr. Getting rejected... His pride was hurt worse than his hide.
But above, Ixionth was tiring, wings cramping. She looked around, bloodlust disappearing with the rest of her energy. She glanced back at the males that stayed in the air, and looped around Tahth, considering the Blue.

Poith hissed at Tahth, swiping at the blue as he flew past. He crooned to Ixionth, wanting her. Didn't he deserve her? Hadn't he shown how much he wanted her? And he'd even saved her from that rude mannered bronze who'd tried to catch her before it was time. Inside the weyr, T'zan echoed Poith's croon, taking a half step toward S'aa, eyes filled with unmasked lust.

Ylonth dropped out of the chase upon seeing the elder Green caught. Ixionth was pretty enough, he supposed but not worth risking his hide for. Remind me when Ixionth next Flies that I do not wish to chase her. he requested of R’fuin.
Gladly R’fuin replied absenting himself from the room as the flight continued, when he wasn’t among them the naked lust in the faces of those riders possessed by the desires of their dragons unnerved him.

Ixionth looked at Poith, considering the Blue. He had always been a constant, and though Tahth was a new face, a new hide, she found herself flipping herself towards the darker blue with a soft croon. She was tired, and he had worked hard. He deserved a reward..
S'aa moved towards T'zan, eyes fogging and body burning. He needed the blue, needed him like no other... He pulled flush to the bluerider, happily ripping his way through clothes to meet flesh as his dragon twined with the other in the sky.

Poith crooned in triumph as he twined with the smaller dragon, nuzzling her as he threw open his wings to slow their descent.
T'zan smiled, happily kissing S'aa as he gently pushed the other down into the furs.
